Particularities

Exciting expedition to the Arctic Circle. In five days you will experience everything that the subarctic landscape in northern Europe can offer: Lonely forests, trips on large, frozen lakes, snow fun in the highlands and cozy accommodations. With the snowmobiles it goes up to the 66th degree of latitude and to the mountains near the Norwegian border.

Tour description

You get a five-day snowmobile tour through the enchanting landscape of Nasafjäll and Vindelfjäll, the largest natural reserve in Europe. During the tour we cross several times the Arctic Circle. Vast ice sheets and quiet sections in the mountains alternate. The route takes us close to the Norwegian border. In fine weather we take some excursions to the peaks of the surrounding mountains. The exact route depends on the weather and snow conditions and can only be determined shortly before departure. For these reasons it is also possible to change the route during the journey. Accommodation is in comfortable hotels and lodges along the route.

Requirements

During stable weather conditions not difficult. In the highlands strong winds can impede the progress.  Especially after fresh snow the track holding is not very easy. Avalanche prone slopes should be avoided in any case. Participants should be able to drive a snowmobile several hours.

Equipment

Warm protective equipment is provided: helmets, gloves, warm overalls, boots (ski mask if necessary)

• Not recommended for pregnant women
• Minimum age is 16 years
• Vegetarian option is available, please advise at time of booking if required

Price

23.900 SEK / pers. If the vehicles are occupied by 2 persons. For single use the second snowmobile will add 1,000 SEK per day.
