Welcome to Lapland

Today Lapland is known as the last great wilderness in Europe. Here in the north, among the vastness of the Fjell or in the depths of the forests, you can still find untouched nature. Despite cultivation of the land since the stone age, you can hardly find any signs of civilization. The protection of the land has been uphold by the natives, called Samis, according to their nature religion.

Therefore, even today Lapland remains a natural paradise. The fresh air , the crystal-clear water in the rivers and lakes as well as rare animal and plant species in the forests guarantee a unique adventure. Our new guest house provides an excellent starting point for your journey year-round. Already in the immediate vicinity you can experience the beauty of nature. For small adventures we recommend the lake "Storvindeln" that borders on our land or the mountains behind the house . With one of our boats you can fish in the lake or go swimming on the sandy beach. Our local mountain “Bierdåjvvie" is just right for a first tour to overview the surrounding area.

For larger adventures the Fjells await you. A few miles away Europe's largest nature reserve, the "Vindelfjället Natrurreservat”, is situated. There runs the well-known northern hiking trail "Kungsleden".

On the left you can find a selection of activities that you can perform depending on your experience either by yourself  or with our help. In either case we would be happy to provide you with guidance and advice on all issues relating to your Lapland vacation.

Of course, you can also just relax and enjoy the silence of nature with us. Our cozy guest house offers everything for a relaxing holiday.

Our site is located 18 km outside the village Sorsele on the road 363 (Västerbotten county). The property is surrounded by woods and water and our neighbors are moose, caribous and bears.

So, how about a vacation in Europe's greatest wilderness?

We are looking forward to welcome you in Lapland

Birgit and Joachim
